I was so worried you would drop it after DH was released.
It took a while to edit it after DH, but I did so because I didn't want to give it up.
Any plans for a sequel?
I haven't ruled out Snape one-shots, but I don't have plans for a long sequel right now.

You've constructed an interesting Severus. I get a sense of claustrophobia when I read your version of him. Like the cage is closing in. Like he never ever, no matter what he hoped for, ever had a chance to begin with. Does that make sense?
You already know I love your work. And I can't say anything more with regard to it that I haven't said before.
I would have liked...I don't know more of a sense of why Lily fell for James. I think you made some attempt to put that in there but...I don't know I would have liked more. Cause, full disclosure, I am NOT a Lily fan. She did my Sevvie wrong! :^)p And while I can tolerate her not accepting Severus' apology and cutting him off, I can't forgive her taking up with Severus' tormenter.
But that's an INCREDIBLY minor point that in no way detracts from this excellent work.
I say again, well done.

I tried in several spots to show what I thought James's virtues were. I do sympathize with James--especially pre-DH James--and I actually like Lily quite a lot *ducks rotten tomatoes* :). I know many Snape fans disagree with me, but I do believe that, under the circumstances, Lily gave Severus every chance she reasonably could. I tried to carry on with that view in my slightly-revised-from-canon-version of their falling-out.
James was more difficult, no doubt about it. I began Into the Fold before the release of DH, and in my opinion JKR did not do James's reputation any favors by placing the werewolf incident before SWM. I had the events reversed (SWM before the Prank) first because I needed to for my plot and secondly, because the canon chronology made no psychological sense to me--at least, not for the Marauders plot line. Why on earth did Severus keep ( ... )
