He was lashing because he was hurt. Something I expect Severus to do when he's hurt and humiliated.
Anyway, so sixth year and The Prank is about to happen uh? But if Severus already suspected Remus to be a werewolf, then why would he had heed Sirius' suggestion to follow Remus on a full moon?
This story is so great :D

I have a hard time, psychologically speaking, with the Prank taking place before Snape's Worst Memory. Why wouldn't Snape be careful to stay far away from MWPP? And how would they dare to bully him, with what he knows about them? And why would Remus let it happen--he's really putting himself in danger that way. So I left the Prank where I'd originally planned to place it, in sixth year.
But if Severus already suspected Remus to be a werewolf, then why would he had heed Sirius' suggestion to follow Remus on a full moon?
More about that later, but I see him as still not quite able to wrap his mind around the possibility that DD and the teachers would allow a werewolf into the school.
This story is so great :D
Thanks, glad you like it.

Yes, and I totally agree with you. Come one, with that order JK made those marauders even more jerks! How can they still be bastards after they almost kill Severus?
So, MOAR!

Sometimes, however, I can´t help but wonder what the hell is Snape thinking about. Does he really plan to use Veritaserum on a fellow student, being aware of how many people *know* that Lily and him are making it? Can´t this go horribly wrong for him?
I know, this is the same person who walked into a dark and probably dangerous tunnel just because his worst enemy had told him to - but he didn´t have months to think that over...

I'm still impressed and intrigued at your inventiveness on the subject of potions. But for me what makes this chapter so enthralling is the way you intertwine Severus and Lily's (in some ways quite enticing) relationship with the distance between them, and between their attitudes. Severus is just so far from Lily's way of thinking, and he'll never understand how to bridge the gap. Lovely stuff!
(And I hope to get to the new chapter tomorrow.)

Good! There's housing stuff in it, and I always have a problem with that.

Thanks! Though maybe in the interests of full disclosure, I should say the jobberknoll comes from Fantastic Beasts.
Severus is just so far from Lily's way of thinking...
That made DH so sad. Between Severus's upbringing, his personality, his attitudes, his House.... It just wasn't going to happen.
