That's interesting, your Freshers is a couple of weeks ahead of the one in Bristol. Ours isn't due until the 7th/8th Oct. I know that as I've got to take a wander around and hand out some leaflets for one of the University committee's I'm on. It'll be interesting. I haven't been to one in donkeys' years.

The course sounds very interesting. I'll know who to come to if I need any human bones identifying for my museum. *g*

I think a lot of unis have slightly different weeks for Freshers, my sister had her's last week. I haven't been to one for 4 years, it is a very strange experience :)

I'm really looking forwards to the course, I sat in on some of the lab sessions on my placement year, and the undergrads and masters had some lectures together last year, so I already know some of the content.

And I am definately available for bone identification/analysis at your museum :D

I didn't realise there were such big differences between term dates!

If you're ever in the Bristol area, give me a yell. I'd love to show you around the museum. We have a lot of human material. Including bones from Aveline's Hole, the earliest Mesolithic cemetery in Europe.

No, I didn't either!

I'm not often down south, but the next time I am I may just pop in. That Mesolithic cemetery sounds rather interesting :D

What is an MSc? Is this postgraduate type work or are you working on your doctorate?

It's a Master of Science degree, a post graduate. It's a one year course which continues the work I did in my Bachelor of Science degree, and then I can go on to do a Phd if I so wish :)
