See, Julia was given what, two entries in Angier's diary book-canon. So we have her a bit of both (movie and book) and Angier is the same in areas concerning Julia.

I'm playing both. I've always found it a little out of character for Rupert to up and leave his wife without any explanation. He may be an ass to Borden, but he was never really an ass to anyone else that led me to think he'd be such a jerkwad to his wife.

Julia's mun and I decided on a compromise between book and movie - Angier left, but not for long, though by the time he returned Olivia drowned working with a new magician.
