Longings

When you're gone

so far away

That even the modern magical miracle
   of my mobile phone
Can barely touch you
I still have my memories
To bolster my flagging spirits.

And yet...

They're cold comfort at night
Here in the chill of our half-empty bed
Unfilled and unfulfilling
Fit only for sleeping in.

Come home.

Okay, okay. You can have him back. I did realize your love ran so deep until I read this beautiful poem. But now that I know, I'll start packing dicemonkey's things. He misses you, too.
