I have something I can't decide on. Next weekend for the 4th there are family gatherings on both sides of my family, on the cape and in Connecticut. I wasn't planning to go because we're in blackout and can't take time off of work right now. However, it turns out that I'm not scheduled to work anyways. I think if you are going to see people at the wedding, I wouldn't worry about rushing to see them now. Would any of those aunts be at your shower?

It would be too bad to miss Kaitlin as you say, but maybe if you do decide to go up, you can just limit yourself to spending time with her? Sometimes I wish I could go home secretly without having to tell my parents because the whole homecoming thing becomes such a to-do.
