It is unfortunately not a good quality but I needed to do something with last night's episode which was hilarious. I stayed up all night to watch it on a live stream. I love the interwebs.

There's something kinda "chipmunky" about his whole trying to smile, trying to comfort her thing. So weird, a little creepy and HILARIOUS! Go Jim!

Spot on way of describing it! He appears to be trying to channel his mother, as he saw her behave when he was a little boy, while not quite able to bring himself to touch Penny. The way his hand and arm flop around awkwardly is so endearing.

I think part of the awkwardness in touching her arm is the fact he was closest to the injured arm and touching it may cause pain too.
I love jim's talent. It's so irreplaceable. I cannot imagine anyone else bringing Sheldon to life.
