a nice first Roy/Hawkeye. pretty much in character, whic is a huge step, considering the bastardization these two suffer at the hands of some writers.

i wasn´t expecting much and your fic has been a pleasant surprise. i´ll be sure to follow your writing of the pairing from now on. good job.

Seems like fandom the world over, but I do have to agree with you. I don't read very many FMA fics simply because of the copious amouns of yaoi which is hit or miss with me, but the little I've seen of RoyRiza fics always appears to be either fantastic or utterly retched.

i don´t want to be disrespectuful to other authors (the fandom hates me, anyway) but even though this is pairing i´m most passionate about in the world i can only bring myself to read fics from kittu9 or team7. kenbu has just written one but she´ll be brilliant in this fandom. the rest, for me, is a)horribly written or b)so out of character i don´t know why the authors calls them Roy and Hawkeye, and most of the time it´s a + b.

so that´s why your fic gives me a bit of hope for the future of the pairing. for that, thank you.

I'm definitely going to have to catch up on the manga.

Thoughts of a homunculus and the utter corruptness of the upper military ranks nearly forced every last vestige of desire from his body. -- It would turn me off, too!

I think you did a fine job of getting across the physicality of the moment without getting so graphic as to take away from the affection.

Heh. Glad I put the warning in then ;p Although, I can't imagine why you'd get behind. They only release once a month or so I hear.

And yeah, I was actually kind of leary of putting that comment in the fic for fear it would deter him TOO much. I mean, there would go all the smexiness in the last half of the fic...

loved this fic when i read it on ff.net. a very, very good fic for someone new to this ship. :D characterizations were spot on, i think, and the emotions between roy and riza were very nicely handled. :)
