Thursday I went to my meeting and broke the 25 pound barrier. I think that I feel and look better now than I have in many years, even though I still can't fit in some of the clothes I wore then. I have also switched from all shakes to 1 meal a day. This is a low cal Lean cuisine type dinner, a small salad and a piece of fruit. People ask me if ( Read more... )

Sounds like you're doing well. Congratulations! I think you're right that it is easier when you don't have to think about what to eat.

I'm finding that the Sparkpeople site is really helping me keep focused and not let things slide because I'm too busy.

Congratulations Denise! You look just wonderful. I learned a long time ago that foods can really cause a wide range of symptoms (headaches, digestive problems, dizziness, irritability). Now if I could just get into the head game....

The head game has always been my problem...that's why I like this program. I am paying money, not reimbursed by insurance, and have to meet with someone each week on a one to one basis. I keeps me accountable and frankly I've invested too much time and money to quit now. I hit the 30 pound mark tonight, this dispite chilicon, which surprised me. I thought I would have gained.

Don and I might have to join the program. We just whine to each other right now. Neither of us has ever been this heavy before and it is really effecting our choices. For the first time, neither of us got on our bikes this summer. That's pathetic.
