I went trash picking last night.  I came home with, among other things,  a garbage disposal.

I love doing that! I just recently got one of those old lightweight particle board doors. I want to make a hover-surfboard out of it!

I've gotten a new music stand, and a nearly complete set of kitchen cabinets (used in bedrooms, basements, and living room here), and Ian and I carried home a nice formica kitchen counter that's in the basement on two file cabinets... YAY trash-picking!

It's amazing the stuff that people get rid of. I passed by some nice-looking patio furniture last night on my bike ride, but by the time I got back with my car it was gone.

Trash-picking has made me realize that I really am my father's daughter. The barbeque grill that I have is a combination of parts from at least three different grills that I've found. (Ignitor switch from one, wheels from another, etc.)
