This was a longish comment I left on S_D, in response to what I perceived to be the suggestion that Batman is either campy silliness or grim!dark, and that between those two grim!dark is preferable and thus Robin is a no-go. This weekend, an event called Doors Open Toronto took place. I took advantage of it on Sunday and had a look inside Mackenzie House, Old City Hall, and the old Don Jail.

There's a news story about a school in Ontario which separated the Grade 7 boys and girls as a part of a pilot project to improve the gap in literacy skills which apparently runs along gender lines.

Is it weird that I find that Joker, the one from the kid-friendly cartoon, creepier than both Heath Ledger's/Dark Knight's and Mark Hamil/B:TAS's versions of the Joker? *shudder*

I did read a few of these earlier in the month, but I finally sat down and read the comics from January that were on my must-read list, and wrote out some quick reviews/reactions. (So, uh, SPOILERS.)
