My little dinosaur!

For $5 I got an accidental piece of paleoart yesterday at a craft sale. I think the artist may have mixed up cockatiels and cockatoos, but no matter. He asked if he could draw me a dinosaur, I suggested a cocaktiel and got something in-between. I'm trying to imagine herds of six foot cockatiels wailing and screaming, hehe

Well, birds did evolve from dinosaurs, as my parrots constantly remind me, and I am just a mere monkey. I show them my opposable thumbs, hoping to impress them, but they just roll their eyes and say, "So what? WE can fly!"

I greatly suspect that dinosaurs were more like the birds we know than like reptiles. Maybe they even had colorful feathers and were nurturing parents. My Mealy Amazon can be loud even at her size; if she somehow grew to the size of a Triceratops, can you imagine how loud she would be! I'm sure the 6 foot tall cockatiels would be both scary and cute, maybe with cute winning out.

LOL, yes, Muffin is quite smug about his superiority too!

I do think they were more like birds too. Can you imagine one of them molting? Holy cow! I can barely take a grouchy itchy cockatiel half the time, hehe!
