Green-bird update

Sep 01, 2011 20:41

As I posted not too long ago, I rescued a almost-feral 6YO parrotlet breeder-bird with a mostly-missing beak. I named him Ducky. Ducky spent the first couple of days sitting like a lump on his perch, chirping occasionally.

fluffy birdy babies are the best

I'm so glad Ducky is responding well!! You're so great for taking him in.

That is amazing progress for any animal in a week.

Keep it up he is really responding to your love.

OMG, I want to hug Ducky. And... I'd consider that awesome progress for a week in-- who knows how little attention the poor little bloke's had in his six years? You're doing awesomely with him.

Benny's a cutie, too. :) Does he eat independently yet? I noticed he's eating pureed stuff in the video... maybe if he gets to eating it unaided, you could gradually puree it less each time you offer it (until, say, you can offer it cut up in pieces)? (I gotta admit, though, he looks adorable being fed and like he's enjoying it...)

Adorable birdies! They are blessed to have you watching over them. :)

What kind of conure is Benny?
