Not a joke.

Oh my gosh, I just had the most adorable realization.

My grey likes to say this weird phrase which sounds like "Hi-ey-oh!" and which I figured was just his mashup of "hi/hello!" Cue just now, when my cockatiel Enyo starts singing from across the room and the grey starts repeating "Hi ey oh! Hi ey oh!" over and over.

He's trying to say "Hi, Enyo ( Read more... )

We were watching tv last night and someone on tv said something about barbie and all of a sudden my grey said "Barbie!!!!" in a very excited voice. Like her "omg hi your home" voice. It was so crazy.

She has mastered all of my other pets names except one. And she actually gave my cat the nickname that we call her because Elphie was too hard or not something she was fond of. My cat is now known as FeeFee. Seriously.

Precious!

Our Grey calls her sister (given name: Harper) Hupper. She likes to tell her "Enough, Hupper" when she gets loud. The dogs are told enough when they get annoying. Just wait til yours starts tattling on Enyo!

Oh he likes to scold people and toys. If he's in a grouchy mood he'll take it out on us by yelling stuff like "Hey! STOP! Cut it out!"

Does yours bark? Mine barks sometimes and then laughs when she gets the dogs going. Such a brat.

I swear my fiancee's family is so fascinated by the bird they come over just to listen to her

She doesn't, amazingly. She calls them constantly though it's always "Ryder! Henry!" or "Come here good boy!" or "Ryder need a kiss" or my favorite, when she's being lazy or too smart (I can't decide...) she abbreviates. "RYDRY!" First half of Ryder, last half of Henry...

She meows on occasion but not with any regularity. She's definitely more of a talking (words) bird than a sound oriented one. She does the obligatory laser beam "pew, pew pew!" and can do the Pillsbury Doughboy "woohoo" when you poke her belly but she speaks up a storm. Scary as she'll just turn two in July...

Hahah, my bird is a total terror when we have friends over to play D&D. He laughs at inappropriate moments a lot. But he also likes to act as mediator if he hears people getting really loud or excited, he'll say "Heeey, shhh, it's okay" like he's trying to calm us down.
