Another random diet question: asparagus

Is asparagus a bird safe food? Google turned up some things that say it's good, one that said it's a "no-no" but listed no reasoning, and the rest seems to be about asparagus fern ( Read more... )

I wouldn't delete it--I was curious myself! I adore asparagus and wondered if it was a good one for her.

Here's more info I found actually, some vitamins found in Asparagus:
Vitamin A/Beta Carotene
B Vitamins
Vitamin C (Ascorbic acid)

Agreed. I'm not a mod, but the fact that you say that some lists confuse asparagus and asparagus fern says it might need to stay.

Yeah. in Australia, the real stuff wasn't really around in rural areas, it was tinned, or nothing.

The nitrates and the brine used to pickle it heavily accentuated the smell as it left your body.
