Anyone here know the ingredients of the Clorox wash recommended for use with a Scooba (floor-washing robot made by the same company as the Roomba)? They say that vinegar is an alternative that can be used, but I'm reluctant to have the whole house stinking of vinegar since I've read that too much vinegar can irritate birds' lungs. The

Also, I've read that newer Scoobas will run on water only. It probably depends on the model, but it's worth checking into.

My normal method is to run the Roomba (to pick up all the big dirt, rabbit fur, stray rabbit poops, bird crumbs, etc), then run the Scooba, then spot-soak and scrub any remaining tough dirty patches, like bird poops.
When I first got my Roomba, I was shocked at how much dirt and dust it managed to pick up, even in my recently-swept and swiffed house. It's the same way with the Scooba; I had mopped relatively recently, but when I ran it the water in its dirty tank was opaque black. (Big bonus of Scooba over mopping: it picks up its own dirty water and stores it in a special tank, so it's not spreading yucky water around your floor like a regular mop ( ... )
