Doctor Who - Total Eclipse of the Heart

A look at YouTube shows that this song has been popular with 9th or 10th/Rose vidders, but back in the 1980s this was the definitive and much-cherished Doctor Who fan video interpretation, again by David Palfreyman:

Not sure about orgies - though someone has edited shots of Matt's appointment with Billie in Secret Diary of a Call Girl into a Tennant episode, at least as still pictures. Passion and pathos, though, an undoubted sign of the Who times.

That must have taken an awful long time to put together! Who is the 70s hair man at 00:58?

It now takes me quite an effort to listen to the read worlds of that song without hearing those of the literal video version.

I'd forgotten about the literal video version, but I have seen it...

...and Jo's goodbye is a cherished Doctor Who scene, particularly for a certain generation, when admitting emotional attachment between Doctor and companion was a rare and rationed thing:

I've been waiting 20 years to see that again. Genius.

It is, isn't it? 'Forever's gonna start tonight...' as Pertwee becomes Tom B.

That's fabulous. The literalism of some of the imagery set to the lyrics is sheer genius!
