You're fantastic! Please keep going. lilylost June 4 2008, 00:32:33 UTC
Hi there. I've been following your story since I found it last week. I hadn't commented yet because I wasn't exactly sure what to say. I wanted to tell you that I really appreciate your perspective and your beautiful honesty. I've really been enjoying your writing and your story. I am non-trans, and most of what you describe is new to me. This newness is exactly why I think your writing is so important. There is an incredible dearth of information regarding transgender individuals amongst the general population. Shared knowledge and shared experience can lead to acceptance, which is my hope. I think you're doing something terrific here by giving us your story with such an open heart. I admire your fortitude, and I just really wanted to extend my support. Please keep writing. I think it's great!

Smiles and love,
Lily

Glad you like... There's not been much *new* to post, but I plan to keep making entries as long as there's something worth mentioning.

I may go back through at some point and add some photos, but I'm still a bit leery about that. What happens on the internet, stays there... Forever... ;)

Hmm...I know what you mean about the pictures. There's quite a jump from sharing your story (which others might relate to or need to hear) to sharing something even more intimately and uniquely -you-. It would definitely be a difficult thing to do.

Also, when I urge you to keep going with your writing, I mean, of course, so long as you want to and are comfortable with it. I really just want to offer encouragement and support and to let you know that the experiences you're writing about are really meaningful--to me and I'm sure to others.

By the way, is it OK to put you on my friends? (I'm a little new to this lj thing and not quite sure how that all works.)

Thanks!
Lily

I'm not sure of the unstated protocol either, but you (or anyone) are welcome to friend me.
