*is seconds away from shoving them together*

Just kidding. I like them getting closer, but not jumping straight into a R*******ship...it's much more believable this way, especially with Chase's reluctance (it reminds me of him telling Cameron to just stay away when she tells him his hate is toxic in that episode with his dad--Chase to me seems to be cautious with personal connections). The only question is whether the suspense will kill me first ^.^

Sorry for the ramble. To summarize: good job! write more please!

Yeah, every time I tried to shove them together so I could write the story faster, Chase just glared at me and asked me what kind of stupid slut I thought he was. It's all my fault for allowing him his righteous anger in the first place. 8-D

Seriously, though, I think Chase is someone who is very cautious going into a relationship, and very passionate about it when he goes there.

Don't die from suspense - we need all the Chasers we can get!

I givez you love now.

I like this chapter a lot. The banter is witty (always a plus!) and in character very much. I like how real you stay with this - Chase doesn't want to be near House, and he clarified his reasons for that, but still tentative about willing to accept a professional colleague relationship. It just works. Good stuff!

Thank you! Chase would have to be awful stupid to take anything House does or says at face value.

I love the idea of Chase working with House again in Diagnostics. Have you noticed how easy it is for the fans to come up with viable ways to get Chase back into House's circle, but TPTB can't do it? *sigh* It's kind of depressing to be a Chase fan right now. Thanks for keeping his character going strong in fan fic!

And thank you too! There's a lot of good writing on the show, but methinks that whoever hands down the overall plot lines is not on target lately. There is fear in my heart about next season (we'll know as soon as the fall credits roll), but on the bright side, that last episode had bits of Chase all over the place medically. They could have made me happy at any point this season with one line (5 seconds, guys) where House indicates that he wants Chase to do his surgeries.

Whee! This makes me happy. House and Chase working together again. House and Chase bantering. House and Chase spending time together. House and Chase... [fill in blank, because it all makes me happy]. How long are you planning on going with this? I mean, until House and Chase take it all the way, or just until they finally get together, or well into an established relationship... Or you might have no idea and I'm just being annoying.

Whee back atcha! Glad this is working for you. I just love these two together, so I'm thrilled that my story has finally gotten to that point (and whose fault is that, silly author!person?). This is the fun stuff to write.

As to how far I'm taking this, I suspect that given how long I've been writing this story, I better provide some sort of resolution or someone will track me down and stomp on me. I've actually written my ending, so I do know where this is going. There will be plenty of room for a sequel, although I really, really do want to get back to my ROF story first (which actually is a sequel, but going off on a tangent).

Thank you! I agree that the show needs lots more House/Chase interaction, which I ever-so-humbly have tried to provide. It's going to be a loooong summer with just season 4 reruns to watch (or not).
