Not Entirely Human Error - Part 8

Jan 23, 2008 09:58

I can't believe how long this update has taken. RL sucks warm sick through a straw. I've been totally bummed by Season 4, and now the writer's strike, just when things might have improved. Sigh.

Anyhoo, here's an update, with links. I pray it won't take so long for the next installment.

Wonder who he stole the flowers from...
Good for Wilson, he's handling this very well being an ally for Chase and still a good friend to House. Is he going to stay relatively objective like he has been or will eventually choose one side over the other? Would he help Chase resist or would he help House persuade? As of right now, I'm not sure.
Where are Cameron and Foreman right now? What are they up to? What do they think of all this?
Will you be including House's new team in this story at all? Wouldn't mind if you didn't, cause I don't like 'em much, but since it's your story and you can change them I wouldn't mind if you did either. If past chapters are any indication, I think we can trust you to do a much better job with our favorite characters than the actual show.
Can't wait for more!

Thank you! The show has given us some decent Wilson this season, but of course, virtually no Chase, boo hoo. They're breaking my heart ( ... )

Oh, thank you. I've been starved for some decent HouseChase ficness. *worships* I was really hoping that you hadn't deserted this!

I'm with Wilson on this one. Chase and House need to have it out. Great job with Chase's inner monologue--you managed to lay it out without making it into an angst fest. Waiting for more...

Thank you - I want more Chase even if I have to write it myself! ::snerk::

I think Chase's angst days are mostly over in this fic - when House shows up, our Aussie is gonna be on the offensive.

More on the way (let's hope it won;t take me two months this time).

I loved the roses at the end. The only thing better would be having Cameron see that "H" sent Chase flowers. Bwhahahahah. I like Wilson's role in this too.

You're right - the 'Cameron catches House with Chase and realizes she's two-way toast' scene never gets old. Sadly, I sent her to a new job in California (I think) so I wouldn't have to write her anymore, and for the same reason, I don't see her coming back. In order to write dialogue, I have to be able to hear the characters (actors, really) say the lines to get the tone right. Cameron has always been such a poorly delineated character - she's a softie, she's a knucklehead, no wait, she's a bitch - that I just can't get a handle on her 'voice', much less what might be inside her head. So, California it is.

Thanks for reading!

I love this so much! I love how you write Chase's introspection and your dialogue is all so fantastically in-character. I want more :)

Thank you muchly! As I mentioned above, I have HL and JS and RSL running the lines for me, so that keeps me reasonably honest.

There's definitely more. If I could just learn to write scenes sequentially, I'd update much faster. I have five new scenes already written - they just aren't the next five scenes (head-slaps).

Ahhh...i'm completely in love with this story.

You seem to have House down the pat, as well as Wilson (who's being wonderful and very patient with his very best friend, who is a something else entirely).

And CHase...well, it's obvious with Chase is it not?

Hope you'll update soon.

Thank you! Glad you're feeling the love too. I am feeling much better after this week's episode. I had just about decided to give up on the show, and then they gave us more than 30 seconds of Chase. He figured out how to treat the patient and House *needs* him! Yes, he does.

I have the story about 90% finished, except, of course, for the next installment. I am such a maroon! On the plus side, once I do the next update, the rest will arrive quickly.

Oh, and icon!love !!!

Thanks :D glad you like it.

And there's definitely love there. I really think that Chase was the best duckling, if also prone to the biggest mistakes (sounds somewhat like House himself, doesn't it?)

And House, as well as us, needs as much Chase as we all can get. Bug ammounts of pretty and brilliant Ausies have never hurt anyone.

Anyway, for te very selfish reasons, i hope you'll be albe to put the next chapter together quickly and with no problems.
