We were so lucky with the movies. I do think that none of the H/Hr bias would have been seen, none of the H/Hr scenes written, had Bonnie Wright turned into the beautiful feisty in-your-face character that the sixth book demanded. But as it was the lack of same, made even more obvious every time Emma Watson was in the frame, conspired to give us 8 movies of H/Hr vindication. :-)
It's not going to be the same the next time, I fear. Surely they'll keep the cash cow going, announce a television series one of these days. CGI or cartoon maybe, something where the artificial canon characterisation of Ginny Weasley will match the artificial rendering of her television image. And so there'll be a lot less motivation for the Hollywood types to flout Rowling to her face a second time.
