If she had killed Harry, I would have been inconsolable. Seriously. I don't know if I ever would have been able to reread the books again and I certainly wouldn't still be writing fic. Well, that's probably untrue. There probably would have been a great many angsty Hermione stories. Because I can imagine Hermione, if Harry had died. She would have been incredibly strong and lived her life and been completely hollow forever

If Hermione had died? Ron would have been violently, stormily upset and Harry would have helped him. Totally ignoring the fact that it felt like his insides had been taken out with a rusty spoon and sometimes, just at night, just when he's on the edge of sleep, it feels like iron bands are tightening around his chest and he can't bloody breathe
