So, I'm not doing a very good job on this 'catalogue all the books I read this year' thing. I was being very good about keeping track, at least, at the beginning of the year, but now? I know I'm forgetting things. Oh, well. On we go -

24. The Glass Castle, by Jeannette Walls - I devoured this, but. Eh. I don't know. It's interesting and ( Read more... )

I've also had a hardback copy of Atonement that I got from a charity shop sitting around in my room for years just waiting to be read. And suddenly the film crept up and about four friends just finished it and raved, so here I am. Started it and I'm liking it a lot.

I don't think you can tie it into LJ, but goodreads.com is a neat site.

I'm all about Chaz.

But I'm scared she's going to end up with Luke. Who is...okay. I mean, I like him and everything, but I LOVE Chaz.

And can I just say I was flabbergasted? Because from page 1 of any Meg Cabot novel, you KNOW who is going to end up with whom. And then this happened!

I love it and I can't wait for the next one. *g*

I feel Chaz is the one. But I do not think Meg does. And that makes me a little nervous for the next book.

Exactly.

But how can she not?

Lizzie's totally honest with Chaz, she's completely herself around him and they just generally get on like a house on fire.

Plus! All that stuff about everything being Chaz's fault, since he's the one that told Luke to get her the Diet Coke and everything. I mean, come on!

And then when they're drinking and talking about her lack of job (when she's measuring for the curtains and she doesn't know he's there) - they're completely adorable.

But, yeah. When Luke showed back up and then it just ended?

Makes me completely nervous for the next book. Especially since it's called The Queen of Babble Gets Hitched.

Eep.
