Kihyun dreams about everything he's lost and when he wakes, hunger gnaws at him like a long gone pet. He grows skinnier by the day, Hoseok looks even worse. Kihyun knows they don't have long, neither does humanity.
They've come so far and lost so much, but in the end they have each other. It's enough because it's what they have left. Maybe if the world had tilted in a different direction, if people had spoken up. But it's far too late for that now. There's nothing left, nothing but goodbye. Kihyun kisses Hoseok and knows this is the end.
