31 day short fic challenge: January - 08. Rain - Himchan

Rain pours down, leaving puddles everywhere that Himchan has to avoid. He doesn't remember why he decided to ride his bike to work, except that it was quite sunny when he left his flat in the morning. But sometime in the late afternoon, it started to rain. He remembers checking the forecast and noticing it was supposed to be partly cloudy with a slight chance of rain. He doesn't remember any warnings about drenching downpours. And yet, there he is.
By the time he gets home, he's soaked and the rain still hasn't let up. He made a brief stop at a shop near his flat to buy food, not that he's stocking up - okay, maybe he is. He has a feeling he's going to need it, though he's not sure why. He hauls his bike and the bags of groceries into the elevator, getting water everywhere, but he doesn't care. The floors aren't carpeted until he gets to his living room.
The sky has considerably darkened in the short time he was in the elevator, even darker than it should for early evening. He unlocks his flat, drags his bike and the groceries into the foyer and strips out of his wet close. Nothing he's wearing is dry. He stalks, naked and shivering, through his apartment and to the bathroom. He dries himself off and opts for pajama pants and a t-shirt rather than regular clothes.
He returns to the foyer, gathers up the groceries and puts them away, drying them off in the process. His next step is his clothing, which he gingerly carries into the bathroom. He hangs them up to dry and then grabs some rags to dry off his bike. An hour later and his bike's basically dry and slightly cleaner than it was when he left. He hangs it on the hooks near the door and then goes to the kitchen to prepare dinner.
He decides on ramen, because it's hot and he's still cold. He tugs on a hoodie while the water boils, and then carries the noodles into the living room. He turns on the TV and watches the news. He eats quietly, watching the weather report - it's raining all over South Korea with no signs of stopping. He sighs, mutes the TV and grabs his phone. He checks in with his family and then switches over to a drama when the conversation is over.
If he does have to work tomorrow, he'll take the bus. But a few minutes before he decides it's time for bed, he gets a text from his boss. They're not to come in for a few days, the basement's flooded and they're also worried about people traveling in the torrential rains. Himchan texts back that he'll work on what he has at home, which earns him a cute emoticon from his boss.
He crawls into bed a few minutes later and falls asleep to the sound of the rain on the windows of his flat.
