I have now seen "The Empty Hearse." Full three-part recap brimming with snark and asides will come after the whole of series 3 has aired, as the others have done. But for now, some initial observations.

I watched it last night. It was difficult to follow because it was on COMMERCIAL TV argh I HATE ads. Also it started twenty minutes late, good grief Channel Nine what were you thinking of? But I enjoyed it, particularly the number of times John tried to kill Sherlock - and despite getting an impression of silliness.

I might see if I can download the next two. All considerations of ethics went by the board after the way Ch Nine butchered it.

Probably also a little bit because it was inherently not very coherent. But, yeah, I cannot imagine Sherlock on commercial TV. There's just no good place to break it for commercials. Even over here, we have the sense to run it on PBS!
