I used to say that a lot (entirely seriously) when I was a kid. I had my reasons.

Those reasons are long gone, but at the end of a very, very long day at work, while I am still only half unpacked, my most pertinent question for the day is this:

Can life be canceled tomorrow?

Please?

Well, I'm settling in.  Turns out I'm rooming with Sonic, which is fine with me, although I feel bad springing that one on her at the last minute (even though it's not my fault, but ya know?).

The silence was startling as I left College Hall this afternoon; a typical schoolday on campus, young women in brightly colored coats walking along in small groups, or rushing with bowed heads in weaving patterns between their slower peers.
