Pollution
Social injustice
Causing poverty
Accumulating excessive wealth

Those ones sound reasonably sinful...Too bad religion and dogmatic practices often cause them. =P

There was something in that article about someone saying abortion was an affront to "women's dignity and rights" or some junk. The irony of such a statement is rather infuriating.

I like that they included excessive wealth, causing poverty, and social injustice... too bad I don't see those getting the most attention by many.
Christianity really can be a fairly positive thing, it started out as a pacifist religion, and there are so many good ideals in there about treating everyone with respect, helping the poor, fighting social injustice.... But in my experience the christians who focus on that are a minority as well as usually not in the leadership roles of the religion. Instead those people focuse on teh evil gays! Evil sluts murdering innocent little babies! Et cetera.

Yeah, I've meet christians who adhered to those virtues pretty well and were very nice people. But, religion seemed to be a very personal thing for them, and they didn't use their religion as an excuse to try to dictate the lives of others. Unfortunately, many christians (mostly very vocal ones) are not so respectful of the rights of others or even realize that they are impeding the rights of others by pushing their "morals" on others. It seems to be a real shock to some that other people may denying women the right to chose is more immoral than a woman aborting an unwanted or unhealthy fetus. Or, that some people consider hatred or discrimination of GLBT individuals as more immoral that homosexual acts. (Heck, most don't realize that homosexual acts aren't really a sin in the bible or that there are multiple versions of the bible. Hello, King James bible, anyone?)

I haven't been paying too much attention to him, but he does come up with the craziest things from time-to-time.
