Question - although if it turns out to be a plot point later you don't have to answer - how old is Tim in this? Like, are you aging him several years older or is he doing the genius kid thing and being all "yeah I'm your TA but I'm really almost your age"?

An answer to your question, Tim is older. He's around 26 in this verse and Conner is 17 (hence some underage situations lol). A perfectly normal reason why Tim does not want to divulge in Kon's advances xP

I loooove this for many reasons:
1) it promises more chapters, which gives me something to look forward to
2) TEACHER AND STUDENT, that's been my secret kink (although back then it wasn't a kink, just a fantasy for kids sort of deal) since I was eight
3) WELL, TIM/KON. And I'd be thoroughly amused if Tim's a little older, but not by too much. How old is he anyways, if Conner's 17?
