The future might be bright - but Orange are as dim as a 5 watt bulb!

My contract with Orange finished recently.  I dropped my phone in the cat's water bowl the other night.  Add those two points together and it's time for a new phone.

I log into the Orange website and browse the phones available to me - and I spot the Nokia N73.  It's a Symbian OS phone with many features - the most important being the ability to ( Read more... )

I'd call back, ask to speak to a manager, say it's their mistake, they should send another phone immediately to your work and that you are happy to hand over the old phone into a bag that the courier can bring with the new phone!

Were they afraid you'd make off with the two phones instead of the one? How completely untrustworthy! Bad business decision!

Call them back and ask to speak to a customer services manager. Don NOT be put off. They can send you a return phone bag out as suggested above.

Either that or cancel the order. That usually frightens them.

Is that a standard filament light bulb or a low energy light bulb which may actually be quite bright at 5w. You should measure the brightness of a light in candlepower rather than in electrical consumption.

That is a fine point well made!

I was thinking of an iridescent light bulb which has a particularly low lux per watt rating... about 0.7% according to the font of all wisdom that is the wikipedia! :)
