Who: John Connor (provictoria), Marcus Wright (equalsdeath, Kyle Reese (what_year) What: CAMPING OUT. Also fighting. Where: robot apocalypse california When: after this.
[ Kyle likely would have a better immune system than Marcus, were Marcus not technically immune to everything already.
He's also, like most kids who've grown up in this world, an excellent ratter. He pokes around in the dark recesses of the shack they're in until he finds a trap door half-hidden beneath a rug, checks the edges for signs of traps, and hauls it open.
--And suppresses a cringe. It's not more than a graze, and he covered it quickly. Last thing he needs is one or both of his companions fussing over him like an infant. He twists on his flash light to take a scan of the space below.
[John just pretends he's oblivious to Marcus. You know, just because. Because he can, because he wants to, because he's actually really damn tired and ignoring the most probable source of conflict (excluding himself), was the most rational thing to do at this point in time.
And he pauses when the trap door is opened, listening, almost sensing a discontent feeling from Kyle before mentally shaking his head in dismissal as Kyle spoke.]
All right, then. Good work, Reese. [From where ever he's standing he moves to over to where Kyle is before past him, observing the opening a second before descending first. After all, John Connor's notoriously good at two things on missions other than the usual: scouting ahead, and being bait.
How there's a little of both in this mision and then some, so far.]
[ Yeah you go ahead and descend first, Connor. B| Marcus will just stand up here and hold Kyle back for a second, waiting to see if the area below explodes with gunfire.
When it doesn't, only then does he move his arm. ]
