The remains of the massacre and the following fight had been pretty much undisturbed since the fight ended. Dried blood, rubble and dust amongst shining bullet cases and black feathers told of a epic fight between monsters. One large bloody stain against a piece of rubble the only clue to what had happened to Reeve ( ... )

He was left in a state of unconsciousness through the mechanism that harbored his being, this strange pod that was guaranteed almost fully to restore his memories. His only small problem was, he didn’t know how much or where it would begin. The silver haired remnant remained motionless in the pod for a very long time, was all he could recall. Seemingly something had woken him up like a jolt of pain from someone, or something that caused him to open those liquid green eyes. The silent slumber that he was in was no longer there, but there was something else that he gained. Something much more value from the short time he had been drifting in slumber ( ... )

Truth be told, Elena had harbored a secret curiosity about the infamous Shinra Manor. Though the exact nature of the experiments had been classified - and she'd been displeased to discover that even her level of security clearance would not grant her access to the files - it was obvious that it had been so loaded with moral and ethical questions that it was kept out of the public eye. Of course, of the public ever learned that Shinra had created Sephiroth, had created the vampire/monster/man Vincent Valentine, and had been the source of so much trouble... Well, Shinra was still used as an insult, a derogatory term that is spat out as if the word itself was vile and disgusting. Even with Rufus' leanings toward helping restore the planet with the WRO, it would take some time for the public view of the fallen company, and the fallen man, to change ( ... )

One might have expected the finely tuned sing of Masamune as it sliced through the air after all that tension, but as the seconds ticked by nothing happened. There seemed to be a deal of disturbed dust however in the basement rooms and by the looks of the handful of old lamps which dimly illuminated the rooms it was fairly obvious someone had been here looking for something recently.

In one of the dormitory rooms Sephiroth was now satisfied that the newest stomach hole had stopped bleeding into the dull colored cloth but carefully removed the same just to double check. The bullet which had been lodged in his torso was dropped to the floor out of his opposite palm and hit the concrete floor as he cast his dimly gleaming eyes around the basic room.

Ding, ding. The bullet on the concrete seemed to echo more through the utter emptiness of these rooms ( ... )

It was silent. Well, actually, if was rather noisy in Elena's head which then made it sound like it was much nosier outside of it. But if you took out the swearing - much of it colorful and learned from a particular red-head - and the thumping of her heart against her ribs, it was rather quiet in the room just beyond the door. No sound of incoming attack or a perpetrator waiting to jump her the minute she walked into the room. Locking her jaw, Elena moved quickly and fluidly away from the wall and through the doorway in a series of fast and near-silent footsteps. Hazel eyes scanned the room in jerky movements, finding nothing but more dust. Though, the obvious signs of some activity were blatantly obvious. Either somebody was here now or somebody was too lazy to turn off the lights ( ... )
