Every evening when I get home I am greeted by those things in my user pic up there. OH THE GUILT! I feel SO horrid and mean for leaving them from basically 8 a.m. until I get home which is around 6:30, and sometimes later. It never fails though, early or late, when I get home I am met with happy woos and wiggles and lots of licking and wags. And ( Read more... )

They are just so adorable! I think though, that even though both Kieran and I work from home, that huskies would be too much for me to handle. My neighbour has a boxer-lab mix who is the sweetest gentlest little lady I've ever met - I think I'd blend well with a dog-friend like her.

Oh they are ridiculous dogs, and very challenging, and I have no regrets whatsoever about having these two. But, I can't imagine having this breed of dog again, even though I am not sure how I could have any other! Without my son though, it is just really hard as I can't trust them, at all. Well I can trust Shelby, not Maddox.

I am VERY entranced with Hermette's greyhound though! Greyhounds seem to have a lot of personality traits that I really like. And they love to sleep! And I would be able to trust one with a doggy door. So someday, I will be considering another dog, and plan to take a look at that breed. :)

I can't imagine life without dogs! I just wish I could trust Maddox w/a doggy door. I wish I could take them everywhere with me. :(

But they don't seem to hold anything against me, either, for when I am gone late. Or gone at all.

Oh, cute dog faces! At least they do have each other. A single dog left home all alone . . . that's truly awful.

Your dogs are adorable. I miss my Huskies! The circumstances surrounding their deaths and rehoming have taught me to be a lot more selective about the pets I choose. My first two Huskies died during that time period when dog food was poisoned. A lot of dogs were dying. The brand my parents bought was one of those affected. Mika and Misty were very sick in the end. Kiba was a beautiful dog with a personality that meshed well with mine, but a divorce and move into an apartment that didn't allow large dogs forced me to find him a new, loving home. They send me regular updates and photos to let me know how he's doing. He looks so happy! It's clear in so many of the photos that he's well loved there, which brings me comfort. But I still miss him a great deal. :(
