30. What I would do if I won the lottery.paragraphsNovember 18 2011, 18:46:08 UTC
This one is so crazy easy it is ridiculous. Sell this house, put my kids and self through the rest of our school (daughter and me grad school, son undergrad), make sure my MIL was taken care of well for the rest of her life, and then see where the wind takes me. I have no wish to settle down anywhere just yet, really - there is so much of the world to see and explore, and I while I am doing that when I can, there is just so much more out there. :)
07. My favorite book.paragraphsNovember 18 2011, 18:55:31 UTC
I can't believe how much this one has stumped me. I have three rows of keeper books behind me, all vastly different from each other, but the second I pick one, another one bursts out and says no no, me me me! And there are a couple of books that aren't that shelf - Nick's Merlin Big Bang for one, Edit the Sad Parts, an amazing coming of age story about Merlin as a transgender character, and my fav book I've written so far is my Red Tainted Silence, also a coming of age story.
39. The nicest thing anyone's ever said to me.paragraphsNovember 18 2011, 19:04:38 UTC
I think this wonderful fan email I got for Red was just the nicest thing ever. I got a lot of emails like this one - readers wanting me to know how much my book touched them, made them feel better, etc., something I never expected to do through writing. But this is why I do it, for people like Patric, and wow, what a nice thing to say to me. (Notice I've kept this email handy...it is a good reminder of Why I am meant to keep writing

24. My future plans.paragraphsNovember 18 2011, 19:10:21 UTC
I know some of them, but not all:
1. Find a job in the legal field - will it happen before the year is out? I am not honestly sure. Afterwards? Yeah. I have got to find something permanent, and soon. 2. School - finish my undergrad degree, then continue with my Masters of History, likely with an emphasis on Archiving or Cartography (very drawn to Cartography), perhaps teaching. 3. Once the kids are on their own i.e. out of this house, sell it and leave this city. Not sure where to, quite probably wherever the kids end up as they want to end up in the same place.
