Just saw the daughter off to Minnesota--she, her friends Erin and Chase have taken off with a car packed to the rim with stuff. I don't envy them that drive but Tiff loves road trips and has done this drive several times. They'll be fine ( Read more... )

Leaving for any length of time is so overwhelming!

In the midst of getting ready to leave for 10 day trip to CA and with children (as you know) and animals and preparing my MIL who is sitting for me as well as getting myself ready to leave feels detrimental to my health. I hate the before part.

Minnesota will be lovely and you'll enjoy yourself. You've planned some fun stuff amongst the crazy parts. :D

Getting the daughter off the day before we go makes things MUCH easier. :) Have a couple of boys who will be hanging here at the house to keep an eye on things, though I didn't trust them with the dogs, but I want to leave it clean--LOL--nothing worst than coming home to a dirty house.

So that is probably what will wear me out. I wonder if we'll get frisked by airport staff?

I didn't when I went to see my mom in Michigan. And Anthony says he hasn't been either, with all the flying he does.
I think you'll be okay.

LOL it doesn't bother me--I've had the full body scan once. I was patted down thoroughly in Germany once too-it was quick and efficient. Woo. LOL!!!

Oooo ... Mall of America. Ginormous. Has it's own zip code, among other things. DON'T GET LOST!!!!

If you can squeeze in a visit to Dreamhaven Books, you will love it! I don't get to Minneapolis near often enough, but I make sure when I go that I hit that store. Signed Neil Gaiman books, and lots more!

MoA also has its own indoor amusement park, including (last I was there) a roller coaster. AND it has an Aquarium!

Okay the Aquarium is what I want to see. lol I think I will take a look at the website for it.
