I was discussing with nyarbaggytep whether paradoxes were simple or not; I was saying they were, whereas what she was calling "contradictions" (actually, just how people are inconsistent ... which leads them /sometimes/ to contradiction) is actually much more complex.
just a thought on the spur of the moment to let you know I noticed the LJ friendship.

Thoughts on paradox ...
... that's what I've spent most of my life drilling into, through stuff like militant activism, raising kids on the land, avoiding corporate jobs (I've dumped a couple of good careers and a few good jobs; Babylon, you know?) ... what it comes down to now is staying fed. (No, I'm not kidding.)
If you peek my LJ you'll see what I mean ... 30 years hacktivism and I'm limited to about 2 or 3 hours online per day.
Fascism is amazingly effective because in this millenium it doesn't involve black-shirt or SS Gestapo ... it's ubiquitous, like in Matrix.
Show me someone who's cynical and I'll show you someone who's vampire-bitten ... cynicism spreads like a virus.
Show me someone who truly /isn't/ cynical (see a concept) and I'll show you a peer, a comrade, and a friend. It's like that, mahn.
