I'm slowly trying to finish the first Dragon Age before I play two, but don't have the time right now.

Yeah, they definitely end up dead, basically from trying to kill each other over ideological differences. Not to mention she's batshit insane at the time...

But it feels, to me, like this was there, sometime. Before everything.

AHHH. I love Meredith/Orsino, but I can never seem to find a young!Meredith that isn't already jaded in my mind's eye. I like that her firmness as we know her is echoed here, as is his more cavalier attitude, and that you worked in that he didn't hate the Circle; that he found a home in it.

Really loved this - more people should be writing them...how are they a rarepair?! This needs to be rectified...

I concur - why is this a rarepair? I think they're so interesting!!

I think she was one of those refreshingly confident girls who had everyone getting in line behind her, not because she terrifies them, at least then, but because she compels them. No one rises so high just by being damn scary. She must have been likable once.

I agree - I just think that the thing with her sister really scarred her, and I'm unable to write her without overdoing the bitterness of her elder years being reflected on her younger ones. Perhaps I just have to keep on it trying to sort her out a little more.

But I like how you're writing her - I can see her as the "you dare me? That's not even a good dare, but I'll do it because to not would just be pathetic" totally confident young woman. I like to think of young!Meredith as a bit sassy. I really think she must've had a sense of humor once upon a time...
