This so called city Paradise was anything but a vacation, but for now she’d most certainly call it that. The woman knew that she was perfectly capable of dishing out whatever was necessary if the time came for battle. Oh, how she did hope for a good fight within the following weeks. The lack of bloodshed was unsettling. Really, she was much more at home planning he so called army’s next move or being within the realm of the battle itself ( ... )

Genesis wasn't quite sure what to expect as he waited for his host to open the door. From what he had gathered from their brief exchange, this was a very self assured young lady - one who seemingly felt entirely comfortable in inviting others into her living quarters after such little time. So... Confident, perhaps even arrogant up to a certain extent. He had kept himself well disciplined during all those years and even as the door opened, there was no hint of surprise as they finally set their gazes upon the other. He noted her tanned skin, those shimmering pools of almond and the soft waves that fell delicately over her shoulders. Genesis quirked an eyebrow, that smile dissolving into a smirk and it seemed as though, she were exactly what he had expected her to be ( ... )

Perhaps she was a bit arrogant, but when you had a tendency to dislike most people you meet that little bit becomes rather magnified. If there was one thing she despised it was disorder in her own little domain, and Genesis was a rather small disturbance, yet a welcomed one. There really was no comfort in knowing that Baranski simply would not put his plans on hold for her ( ... )
