Expedition
An ancient tomb called "Libet" in the Cinderbreach.
Dates
November 13-19th, 2011
Inspirations
Indiana Jones, Tomb Raider, National Treasure, the Mines of Moria, Raithwall's Tomb.
General plotline
Travelers explore a tomb they find in the Cinderbreach mountains, only to discover its origins... and what is buried there, in the deep labyrinthian twists and turns.
Miscellaneous
Characters will face obstacles (collapsed walls, floors, etc) as well as mazes, and for a portion will be divided into groups to get through (courtesy walls dropping into place to divide them up.) Like the Park Ride in Jurassic Park, it will hopefully give characters a little bit of time with a smaller group to build CR. There will be some fighting, though it will be minimal.

you an idea, not intended to show scale or

Sunday, November 13th
Residents set out for the Cinderbreach. They make camp in the mountains that night, and encounter some strange native creatures.
Monday, November 14th
They arrive at the tomb's opening and, as a group, manage to open the door. Unfortunately, once they enter, the doors swing closed behind them and are sealed by a glowing white light. To get back out, they'll have to find the right artifacts and put them on the altars. They continue on, and make camp in an atrium. Sleep well... if you can!!!1
Tuesday, November 15th
While traveling through the caves, things get crazy: while the residents are walking, a sudden cave-in leaves the residents divided with no way to reach each other. The only way on, it seems, is to continue on separately, even if it means some might never return...
Wednesday, November 16th
The groups proceed down their paths, having a grand ol' time.
Thursday, November 17th
The groups proceed down their paths, having an even grander ol' time. Meanwhile, back at the castle, a flare is seen in the sky, but there's no way of telling where, exactly, it came from. It's a signal, but who is it for?
Friday, November 18th
The residents regroup and regather. Everyone's more than ready to go home and rest and reflect and do other things that start with 'R', but is Paradisa really where they want to go?
Saturday, November 19th
Hours before the residents reach the border, chaos erupts back at the castle.

MISSION STATEMENT
When the residents are divided, the first team finds themselves at the beginning of what could be the most taxing gauntlet they've ever run in this place. They seem to be trapped in ruins of what was once a gigantic stone fortress, and you can imagine how "ruins" go -- missing pathways, walls of rubble, chasms above dark, seemingly bottomless pits. Water runs freely in some places with only narrow ledges above, and sometimes all you have to help you climb is the remains of a broken bridge or a chipped former window-ledge. It'll take team work and resourcefulness to get through this one, all while avoiding some of the native wildlife.

MISSION STATEMENT
"Getting messy" is always a given on expeditions, whether it's being drenched in Doctor Fog's guts or getting too wrapped up in a political disaster, but this one might be a little more life-threatening. It seems this team has run into this old tomb's security system, and they'll only have a limited time to solve the puzzles that allow them to move from room without getting "eliminated." Why bother making it to the end, you ask? The heart of the tomb, where the skeletons of this place's own residents hold an important clue to what happened to this old place.
TEAM THREE
Ashura
Colette Brunel
Felix Harrowgate
Hellboy
Jr.
Kallen Kouzuki
Nepeta Lejion
Nudge
Ray Stantz
Sherlock Holmes
The Rookie
Vriska Serket
Uchiha Sasuke
MISSION STATEMENT
This group manages to avoid the security system -- sorry, Team Two -- and gets a short-cut right into the lobby of a disturbingly familiar place. The architecture's different, sure, there's a grand staircase, moulding old couches, the dank remains of potted plants... if you fixed this place up, it could look like another hotel in a chain. Didn't they just leave Paradisa? But there's got to be more to it than that -- a hunt through residents' rooms might turn up some more information, or maybe even the castle's remaining inhabitants.
TEAM FOUR
Anders
Apollo
Daisy Wick
Kaito Tsukanda
Kat-320
Kuchiha
Minnie Mouse
Noble Six
Sir Durge
Stephanie Brown
Ted Mosby
Temperance Brennan
MISSION STATEMENT
Everyone else seems to have gone up or in, but this team's path seems to be careening off in a different direction, out and away from the rest... that's because when the area collapsed, these guys found themselves on a long, fast, and far-reaching slide. When they slow to a halt, they'll find themselves in relatively open area, passing through a brief bit of dead forest and winding up in a city. Way in the distance? The ruins of a giant fortress, where your friends are running around. Over here? An abandoned city, looking like it was designed and built in some far-flung future century and then abandoned for a couple hundred years. God knows what you'll find in here, but hopefully it's a way out.
TEAM FIVE
Alleria Windrunner

Fifth Doctor
Fluttershy
Kitty Pryde
Sylvanas Windrunner
Uzumaki Naruto
Vereesa Windrunner
Violet Baudelaire

Zelos Wilder
MISSION STATEMENT
Finding the artifacts and buried treasure and secrets is all fine and good, but it means nothing without a way to escape. That could be changed when Team Five discovers what appears to be an abandoned subway system, complete with maps. The rails can't exactly be crossed without a vehicle -- and who would enjoy risking a long plummet into the darkness? -- but if they can get the subway up and going and avoid any, erm, opposition, maybe they can make an escape possible for everyone.

Note that these people aren't elected by their teams nor must they be deferred to as leaders, I just like having someone(s) on teams to look out for everyone and see their team through. A sort of shepherd dog, if you will, so no one gets left behind. B) Someone I can IM if I need to ask something but don't have time to read the incoming hundreds of comments/endless threads.
