Hi guys!

So, as you've seen on the calendar, both HMD and HTG are coming up pretty soon. It's been quite awhile since we first decided to disable anonymous, so we'd like your input on establishing what should happen for the upcoming HMD/HTG in

I find that even if sock journal would kind of defeat the purpose of disabling anon, it would allow people who are THAT hurt over it to at least be able to contact their critic in private.

I have a question about how the poll is set up and the result of it.

From the looks of it, you're asking two different questions in one poll: Should anon be allowed and should sock journals be allowed. Instead of asking two separate poll questions about this, you've divided the no-anon options up to accommodate this. That's fine and dandy, saving space is sweet.

But will this be kept in mind when you're looking at what you decide to do? Because at a glance, yes so far it look like Anon and Sock Journal allowed is winning at the time of this comment (at 41%). But in truth, 23 muns (59%) have requested for anon to be turned off and are just torn about sock journals. Meanwhile 26 muns (66%) are okay with having sock journals and are simply torn about if anon should be enabled or not.

So will this counting of the poll answers together like I just showed be considered or not when making the final call?

The anon will be considered together. We go by majority, generally, and 40% is not a majority vote.
