So, yeah.
In light of the recent role-playing burn-out this community has had since the last main plot, we've decided against dragging everyone into a giant all-out battle, especially since this was designed to be a chill month where there would be minimal worry at hand.
The rallying of the troops was definitely an in-character thing to do in this instance, yes. I do not intend to speak for the other players that had a hand in taking a stand against Arthas' potential, but it was not expected to have this break out into another boss battle so soon. We understand that though many are on board for bringing another threat down, this may not be the best time for dealing with it as a playerbase.
For those who are still interested, we would be more than willing to revisit this in the future, but it is the general consensus that pulling together a quick and prompt battle would be stressful for all parties involved and only prolong the burn-out.
That being said, the in character plotting will not be for naught. Since many had planned in drawing Arthas out, I will be having Sylvanas do just that, calling him out and trying to taunt him on his way into the Dead Zone. Since Arthas knows all too well about Sylvanas' wiles, he will call her out on this ploy and opt to not let the residents have at him, deciding to retreat to a location outside of the castle... for now.
We hope that this will be a good resolution for all involved, and something that those who did not choose to be involved to be happy with.
Yes.
