first loss!
Lyra hasn't had a loss since she got here, so I'm rectifying this.
For the next week, she will have the words "I am Eve" written as though in flame on her forehead.
She can't see it, Pan can't see it, and what's more, it will be written in the viewer's native language, with the name Eve translated into the appropriate name for the biblical character.
For example:
Spanish: Yo soy Eva.
French: Je suis Eve.
Hebrew: Ehyeh Chava. (written in Hebrew characters, of course, right to left)
I think the ancient Greek equivalent would be Pandora... everybody else is on their own, sorry.
The Point of This is that, canonically, she is Eve. The second one, that is. With the temptation, etc. Only she was born to set things right, not to cast humanity into the darkness. She will accidentally kill the Authority (G-d), and set him free, turning him into Dust, which is a certain kind of elementary particle. She will be aided by angels who can pass through all of the parallel universes in canon, and they all, as well as the witches, know exactly who and what she is.
