Oh sure, I'll bite.

I remember ages ago there was the idea that if you set out from the castle at one point and kept walking, eventually you would end up right at the castle again. Later someone official was like, "No, that's silly. D: There's stuff out there." but I don't remember ever getting an answer as to just what that stuff is. Any thoughts/ideas/answers for me on that? Just what is beyond the town and the forest and the supposed mountains and lake I've heard about?

I see what you did there.

And I'm also interested in the answer to this question.

Full answer for that is coming soon! I think I've already got that inconsistency covered so... sit tight for that?

Personally, I'm not exactly sure where this "barrier" idea came around, as I had always been told (and been under the impression) that Paradisa was the world and Cair Paradisa was the castle; people just tended to call the castle "Paradisa" because that was the "main event", so to speak. But on the journals some characters started talking about barriers while others were acting like they were casually jetting around the whole world; I think that started those problems.

But I promise the full answer to that is coming!

WAIT WAIT I HAVE ANOTHER ONE. OR TWO.

You will want to shoot me by the time this is over, I'm sorry.

1. So the journals tend to translate things for convenience, so that people can all understand each other and in the event that someone changed into, say, a tiger, can conveniently still communicate with people through the journal. But there's been some confusion about whether or not this effect can be purposely turned off--what if someone wants to blather on in Latin or German or Japanese or say specific things in a different language for whatever reason? Is it automatically understandable by everyone no matter what, or can characters (or players, if they want to be mean) turn off the auto-translate thing somehow ( ... )

ilu, this is good for me. I love ironing out these details.

1. It can be turned off. Real detailed answer coming soon.
2. Yes it does, and I've got a real answer for that coming, but I'm going to revamp it more because you reminded me of some things.
3. No, it doesn't. Thank you very very much for reminding me, that's now in the works.

Re: 2. Awesome. Prepare for lots of frustration from the nice researcher lady as she figures this out.

1. \o/ THIS IS GOOD. Because I always worried when the Time Lords would start babbling in Gallifreyan.

OKAY LAST ONE for now I SWEAR:

It's been pretty sorted out that the people in City Royal aren't like... Freaky dolls or anything. On a scale of 1 to the Care Bares minus that grumpy one, how happy are they in their lives? Are these people like, middle-class regular Joes like you'd find in any major city, or are they generally a happy-ish people in their little slice of kind-of Paradise? If you keep bumming them for free stuff, will some of them start to get annoyed or will they always be happy to help? I feel like the people out in town--actually, a lot of the town itself, it still a big mystery that people've just been making up as they go. Any solid details on that sort of thing we should know about, or is wingin' it totally acceptable in this case?

They're like the population of any regular average, sleepy town. They are overall a happy population, but they have their own personalities, likes, dislikes, interests, etc.

They don't give you free stuff just because you're a castle resident. Idk where that came up. They are polite, understanding and respectful of castle residents, but they don't exactly pony up the free shit for no reason. When you vacation overseas, they don't exactly throw the free stuff at you, do they? You still have to pay!

There are lots of solid details on this place coming because... I want to make it my personal project to see that the town is a lot more than just a backdrop for the people of Paradisa to use and abuse. I don't want it to be fodder :(

I'd kind of wondered about that. Super-excited to answers on this one then, since all I have in my head is a picture of Lindblum from FFIX (vaguely steampunk, lots of pixels, hidden alleys and basements, kids playing in the street, etc) that goes on and on and on with stuff... Conveniently around.

...and since FFIX is like that one Final Fantasy game that no one's played, I bet most other people have like, half the mental picture I have. X'D So I'm glad, since I find my characters spending more and more time out there.

Yeah, I admit I didn't finish FFIX XD

You know, this has actually been on my mind for a while and I don't know WHY I haven't asked before...

Aside from bears, ducks, and generic birds, what animals happen to be around in the wilds of Paradisa? And would the castle introduce new species if asked? Like, someone from Avatar crew asked for a population of one of their hybrid animals for whatever reason or someone asked for a flock of certain birds, would the castle bring them? I don't have a character who would do so, but I'm curious. XD;

I've got a detailed answer to that coming soon, but the short answer is: Paradisa controls what animals are there and what animals aren't there.

Awesome. I just really wanted to know since people only really seem to mention the bears, ducks, and birds when it concerns the wild animals. Thank you!

Most people I know are very confused as to just what, exactly, the City Royale looks like. I remember ages and ages ago in the FAQ it was said to look something like Alexandria or Lindblum from Final Fantasy IX, but a lot of people seem very conflicted as to what sort of level of development the city is at in regards to structure/layout and technology. Will there be any sort of visual references and/or descriptions for players to look at/read in regards to this?

Just a simple yes or no is sufficient enough! XD I just brought it up on the off chance that it hasn't been taken into consideration yet

Visual reference, maybe.
