Ed fastened his cloak around his shoulders. Although he'd been wearing his brown coat when they'd been pulled out of Germany, he had missed the familiar alchemy flammel on his back, and ended up transmuting the coat into a more familiar red garment.

"Oh yeah? So who is it that wants our particular brand of interior decorating?" Ed asked rhetorically, knowing it didn't matter to Al -- he'd help anyone.

"Her name is Tear! She's really nice, and says she knows you to! She offered to help me find my glove when I lost it," Al explained, a grin on his face despite Ed's remark. He opened the door, and they both stepped outside into the hallway. The hall was still littered with debris from the recent "earth quakes," so Al had to pick his way through.

"She's in room 1511, so she's a few floors up," he continued as they made their way up to Tear's floor. It didn't take long for them to reach it, despite the damage to the stairs and halls.

Al stepped onto the floor landing, and cupped his hands around his mouth. "Tear-san? Are you here?" he called out, figuring she probably wasn't in her room, like she had mentioned.

Tear had been patiently waiting for her new friends' arrival. She was sitting on the ground leaned up against the wall. At the sound of her name Tear stood up and brushed off any dirt that was left on her outfit. She called back towards the steps, "I'm over here!" She kicked some fallen rock out of the way and headed to the stairs. There was still a bunch of dust in the air so it was difficult for her to see the two boys. All she could make out was red. Just red clumps.

Al saw the young woman approach, and threw up an arm to wave at her. "Hi, Tear-san!" He hurried forward, and was able to better make her out through the dusty air. "It's nice to finally meet you! This is my brother." Al turned to his brother, and nudged Ed.
