There were in fact no footsteps heard when the door opened, - in fact, what was in front of Excel was a girl who was levitating with dull red eyes. She was holding a small notebook with a pen.

Her wings remained transparent - pink where it began and violet towards the tips - four ‘wings’ kept her afloat as she stared expressionlessly at Excel without saying a word - instead looking to her notepad and writing down what she had to say, in a rather simple and cheerful calligraphy that simply said “Hello Miss Excel! I’m Colette!” along with a small cheerful, shining, and smiling sun to the side although one could easily be unnerved by her stoic and silent nature.

She wasn't sure what had shocked her more: Colette's wings, or the fact she was floating off the ground. Either way, she couldn't help but release a loud "WHAT THE HECK--?!" and back into the wall across from the apartment. Excel didn't mean to be rude of course, but if she was offended, Colette didn't show it. Instead she simply got out a notepad and wrote her introduction. It was so cheerful and warm that it made Excel actually feel a little less bewildered. A little being the key word ( ... )

It was pretty obvious she was confused wit what she wrote the chosen thought, but in case she didn’t get the point across, she tilted her head and cocked it a little bit to the side. Colette being from a world that had never had any concept of ‘shows’ other than a few plays and carnivals coming by Iselia - had no idea of the concepts she was talking about. A lot of thoughts went through her mind, as in wondering what ‘America’ and High School was. Maybe it was like school in the mountains? All she was taught in her hometown after all was from Professor Raine or from her studies of angelic language. Maybe when she regained her voice, she could ask her ( ... )

"I haven't met many people," Excel admitted, scratching her chin in thought. "The only person I've really talked to about this place was Fra-san, and even she couldn't really tell. I had originally guessed this was some kind of hentai fetish club because I had discovered Fra-san was a scandalously dressed bunny girl and you had wings. It's hard to believe people would have a wing fetish, but if some people can get turned on by bug-squishing--don't ask me how I know that--then others can when members of the opposite, same or no sex wear wings I guess. At any rate I was incorrect.

"Back to our search, maybe we should look for a map or a directory to the castle to start. Unless there's a town map we can use? Usually you can identify a castle by its kingdom."

Excel smiled to herself for thinking up such an idea so suddenly. Usually she had to get her brain cells to work extra hard when trying to come up with solutions. She knew (or at least thought) her Lord Ilpalazzo would be proud.
