3PM ] [ Kids in Costume Meet Up

Jo was dressed and ready to head out with the kids. She opted this year to go as a Western Sheriff. After last year's Bumble Bee she decided to go with something that at least had pants. Plus, she could put a button down shirt on beneath the vest for going out with the kids and then opt to take it off for later at the bar that night. Bonus was that she could carry a weapon and if she needed it, then she'd have it.

Now she just had to wait for the kids to gather and then they could head out!

[Mindy has one requirement when it comes to wearing a costume: weapons. Her original plan to be a member of SWAT team went out the window when she realized that her costume was far too accurate to be considered a costume for a kid. So she went a different route and went for a Cop. It was easy and she got handcuffs and a gun.]

Nudge watches the girl interestedly for a few seconds after walking in, and walks over after not too long. Trying to make friends is the name of the new game in Paradisa, right? Right.

She's dressed as an angel, and she's wearing a pretty white and brown dress with gold trimming, a gold halo, and her wings are out, and covered with gold glitter. She is holding them veeeery still, and she hopes to bejeezus everyone thinks that they're fake.

"Hello! Nice costume."

"Hi!" Mindy, despite being foul-mouthed most of the time, can certainly put on a show when candy is on the line. Max already told her to watch her mouth, so she was going to try not to curse so much.

"Thanks, my dad was a cop. Why are you an angel?"

3:30PM ] [ Rooms at the Castle

Now that the kids were all rounded up, Jo grabbed her list of adults that were going to give out candy and she headed up with the group of them to the first room on the list.

It's slightly amusing that people trapped in a castle still try to maintain some sort of normalcy in their lives. Katherine has opted to play along for the day. Seeing the notes being put up, she got candy and even dressed up for the event.

Naturally, if someone asks she is Scarlett O'Hara from Gone with the Wind.

[Sweets closed the office early to be here for this because -- yay Halloween. He would go trick-or-treating himself, but it was worth it to see all the kids come around too. He's dressed up as a red shirt, phaser and all, and has his bowl of candy waiting by the door for them to come knock]

6PM ] [ Out to the City

The city might have too many leaves to handle right now, but that won't stop these hyperactive kids that have already been eating some of the candy they've been given. Leading them out to the different shops, Jo intends on making sure that none of them get lost in the leaves.

[Cordy spent most of the morning going all out to get ready for this. Caritas is done up like a haunted forest, with trees and such covering the walls and stage. She even used some of the leaves from outside to give it more of a realistic effect.

All of the tables have been moved to the side for the kids, save for one, which is where Cordelia is sitting in the back. She's dressed up as a fortune teller and has a crystal ball in front of her, as well as the bowl with the candy in it.

[Mindy has been here before. That skeevy pervert hung out at this bar. Angel.

Huh. She keeps her eyes peeled as she moves through the place. When she doesn't see any sign of him, she exhales in relief and heads to join the rest of the group.]

Are you really a fortune teller? I mean, back home are you a gypsy, too?

Not a gypsy, but I did get visions of the future.

8PM ] [ Returning to the Castle - Candy Swap at the Lux

Food allergies and general avoidance of certain candies makes the swapping part nearly an essential part of the holiday. Jo has bowls of candy lined up in the booths, so the kids are free to trade their candy with each other or with the stash that the Lux has gathered.

[Max is behind the bar, still in costume, when the kids come back in, and is prepared to be flooded with requests for milkshakes and ice cream. Because exactly what these kids need is more sugar.

But regardless, she is here for the adults as well. she is the keeper of the booze.]
