Anyone who wanders into the dining (gasp, it's actually being used for it's intented purpose!), will find a veritable feast laid out on tables near the edges of the room, glorious both in their bounty and in the light of, you guessed it, even more lamps. You can find any traditional Indian food here, along with an equal quantity of sweet treats you might never have laid eyes on.

The air is rich with the smell of hanging flowers, along with a music that seems to have no source. The middle of the dining room is cleared of tables, so maybe the castle is hoping for you to dance.

Whatever you do, enjoy it.

Alleria is wandering among the tables, dressed appropriately, her golden hair piled atop her head and fastened into place with flowers and pins. She still has a sword at her hip, however; just because this is a peaceful gathering does not mean it couldn't suddenly change.

She seems to be enjoying the scent of flowers and the seemingly magically-derived music, as it reminds her of her home and its capital city. The only thing that is missing are brooms that move of their own accord and a few stray cats here or there.

She's lingering near the sweets, simply taking in the sights and sampling the food every now and then.

Aziraphale has somehow managed to customise his outfit, it's the traditional cut and colour, though in a rather fetching angora wool cloth. One must be certain to wrap up warm now that the chill of Autumn was properly setting in.

Smiling when he saw an old friend he hadn't spoken to in too long, he walked over and gestured expansively.

"What a sight for sore eyes, Miss Windrunner, truly lovely."

At least it isn't tartan! That would not match the decor at all.

Alleria looked up when she was addressed, smiling nearly instantly when she realized who it was. "You clean up nicely as well," she answered, teasing, then turned to face Aziraphale fully.

"Are you familiar with this festival? We do not have anything like this on Azeroth, or at least nothing I'm familiar with."

Aziraphale perked up instantly, and not solely because he was in the company of a friend. When asked a question about religion, even one not necessarily his own, he was in his element.

Drawing himself up to his full height, there came an atmosphere much like a professor about to lecture their student about some minute footnote of the classnotes that was unlikely to be interesting, but extremely likely to be long.

"Diwali is perhaps the most well-known of the Hindu festivals. The word Diwali means 'rows of lighted lamps'. Diwali is known as the 'festival of lights' because houses, shops and public places are decorated with small earthenware oil lamps called diyas. This five day festival honours Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth ( ... )

Alleria's eyes began to glaze over about a third of a way through all that. She waited politely for him to pause, however, because she didn't want to be insulting! Sometimes, rarely, a Windrunner was capable of tact.

"Ah -- very interesting. You seem to be quite knowledgeable about ... these things," she said, then nodded toward the food -- maybe if he ate something, he would stop talking so much!

"Are you as knowledgeable about the delicacies presented?"

While the hope that presenting Aziraphale with food would stop him talking was a good one, it would not work. Alleria foolishly asked him to expand on his knowledge about the fare on offer, and the angel intended to do just that.

With a delighted and patient air, he walked her up and down the table, pointing out each dish, it's name, country of origin and any religious significance it held to the celebration.

Is this the real life.

Alleria continued to do her best to be polite and patient about all this, even though this was the opposite of what she wanted, and just nodded, occasionally interjecting with an "ah" or "I see."

There was a lot of food on the table; this could take awhile ...

And suddenly, there was a Crowley. His Aziraphale Is Boring Someone To Death senses were tingling. It's okay, Alleria, he's here to save the day. Maybe.

"What have I told you about doing that, angel?"

Aziraphale had been in the middle of describing how the spices in this particular dish varied from region to region, in the sort of detail usually only found in instruction manuals, and looked a little peeved to be cut short.

"Don't interrupt, Crowley. Miss Windrunner asked to know about the dishes on offer."

Men appearing out of nowhere, oh okay, that's totally a normal thing.

Alleria instantly bristles, her hand going to the sword at her hip. "Who --"

"Angel, you're not telling her about the dishes, you're lecturing her on them, stop it, it's cruel and unusual."

He gives Alleria an idle wave.

"Name's Crowley, sorry about the angel, we don't always let him loose on these things unsupervised."

Aziraphale gave Crowley a Look, that from anyone else would mean 'go away, I'm almost in here', but from the angel was just 'how dare you interrupt the sacred imparting of knowledge'.

"Miss Windrunner, unlike certain people, is interested in what I have to say."

Settle down, boys.

For Alleria's part, she took a moment to look between Crowley and Aziraphale. Upon deciding that Crowley wasn't a threat to her friend -- unless 'obvious annoyance' counts as a threat -- she slowly lowered her hand from her sword. Frowning at Crowley, she nodded perhaps a little curtly. "Alleria."

Her eyes lingering on Crowley, she addresses Aziraphale after a moment. "It's alright. If you two have business you need to attend together ..."

No, it's for your own good woman.

Crowley gives a wide smile, dropping a hand on Aziraphale's shoulder.

"We really, really do. Big stuff, you know. Cosmic balance and all that. You know how it is."

Aziraphale's Look turned into more of a Glare as he kept his gaze on his long-time friend.

"No, we do not. I'm afraid I am currently engaged with Miss Alleria, we can talk later."
