She arrives rather promptly, driven by the promise of a roof over her head. Hawke is not exactly the camping type you see, although she can do it and will on occasion, six years living in a comfortable and luxurious mansion has spoiled her. Forgoing knocking all together she lets herself in, a few stray leaves still clinging to her hair and hood, whistling as she closes the door with her foot.

It's a nice place.

A very nice place. Bigger then her own mansion but she isn't the type to throw a fight over whose is bigger, even if she can feel the smallest pang of jealousy picking at the edge of her mind.

Speaking of jealously, it was appearing at the top of the stairs.

Spotting Zelman sitting at the bottom, her mind immediately devises a plan: she'd run down the stairs, fling her arms around his neck, and be annoying until he gave in and entertained her. But before she can put her body in motion, the front door opens and a woman enters.

So, he was waiting for her.

Asuka doesn't bother taking a few steps back to hide in the hallway, but she doesn't say anything yet. She just watches and waits to be noticed.

He doesn't give the leaves a second thought (the maids will take care of them once they've found a way to tackle the mess that is the front grounds--perhaps never, at this rate). He instead claps his book shut, leaves it on the step, and rises to greet his guest.

"Yo." No one said he had to do it eloquently. "Glad you found the place."

He's ignoring Asuka for right now. Oh, yes, he knows she's there... but he's pretending that she doesn't exist, partly because he doesn't want to deviate, and partly because he knows it drives her crazy.

"Wasn't hard, it stuck out of the sea of leaves like an ogre at a fancy dinner party." She flicks them off with little care, half tempted to set the little bastards on fire but resists the urge. It'd be terribly rude to accidentally burn such a lovely place to the ground on her first visit.

She spares the redhead a momentary glance, partly because she likes to know her surroundings well--never know when someone innocently standing off to the side might turn and throw a dagger at her head.

Not that she expect it to happen... it's just habit you see, ingrained in her after becoming the most attacked person in all of Kirkwall.
