If we had cake we'd have to eat it all and that could be dangerous. Is lasagne good for beginners?
[ She'd forgiven Piper over the whole incommunicado bit, not that there was really anything to forgive as she understood it. If Kitty wasn't Kitty she'd probably do that, although she dealt better with this place by knowing the people and she was fine with that. And if it meant dragging Piper out and learning to cook and have fun at the same time then she was definitely fine with that. As nice as castle wished meals tasted she wanted to stop wishing as much and learning from someone a lot better than her would definitely help that ]
[ Aim high, Kitty. Lasagna is hard. And Piper isn't sure she's very good at instructing it when a cake is cinch. But the one thing she misses in her little house in town is this. Cooking in a kitchen like this and with people who encourage her to do so. The latter is something she's slowly starting to realise she enjoys. ] It depends on how much you're willing to do.
Lasagna is messy. And it may take me a bit to remember everything, so if you've got all day to do this, we can whip up a few failed dishes before we hit the perfect one.
[ But she's short. /shot ] Considering failed dishes to perfect helps me practise and get better then I'm all for it. Plus we'll end up with a lot of good food.
[ Piper is a perfectionist. Maybe she should've disclaimered her lessons. ]
My sisters would have to agree. All the cookies I made that I felt were overcooked, they ate them up like there was no tomorrow. [ Not to say her cooking is fabulous, but her sisters are pigs, okok. ]
You know what, I think we should start with something baked. And for dinner we can try the lasagna. I need to scope out your skills first. [ She laughs, teasing. She'd rather do something simple to see if Kitty actually likes learning before doing something harder. ]
