River had been strangely withdrawn ever since learning the Doctor had retreated back to their home universe. Even though she carried on like nothing at all was wrong - she was worried sick. They had moved the Doctor into the med bay, where she visited him as often as she could. Then Rory had been stricken with the same thing and they had put him on the medical table beside the Doctor. Both of her boys were out, dead to this dimension. She had no idea when they would come back or how far into their timelines they would delve.

She happened to be watching over them, feigning interest in reading a book in order to hide her worry. When he bolts up, it startles her so much that she drops the book and immediately bolts to his side. "I'm here, Doctor. What do you need?" Relief was evident in her voice and face.

Eleven blinked a few times, looking around. It took him a moment for his mind to catch up with him. "I was in the console room, I was heading outside to start cleaning the graffiti when... door..." His hand went up to check his nose, twisting it slightly. Yup. Still there.

Alright. That part was sorted, now for the more important part of... oh... River wa there. And she looked worried. He frowns slightly. "How long was I out?"

"You've been out for a week." The Doctor was back and that was good, that was great actually. He looked dazed and vaguely confused, but in good health again. Just to be sure, she grabs her scanner and runs a quite check-up on him. Yup. Two heart beats. Perfect health for a Time Lord.

"Rory's in the same boat, as you can see." She motions to the body in the opposite table. "How do you feel, Doctor?"

Before answering her he pulls out his screwdriver and does a quick scan of Rory. He smiled and nodded as he checked the readings. He'd come to recognize the readings that meant someone had been sent home. He knew Rory was alright. Or, at least, he would be.

Tucking his screwdriver back in his pocket he turned back to River. "I'm quite alright. A week, you say? Hmm. That took longer than last time..."
